1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the Fur Baby Companion mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and data security. Our App is designed with a privacy-first approach: the vast majority of your data is stored locally on your device, and we do not collect, sell, or share your personal identifiable information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect & How We Use It

We only collect the minimal information necessary for the App to function, with a clear distinction between data stored locally on your device and limited data processed through third-party services.

2.1 Information Stored Locally On Your Device

All core user data is stored exclusively on your personal device using Apple's native SwiftData framework, and we never transmit or store this data on our servers:

• Pet profile information: pet name, species, size, birth/adoption date, gender, and profile photo you upload;
• Pet age calculation data, companion day tracking, and milestone/reminder settings;
• Custom wallpaper preferences, template selections, and saved wallpaper designs;
• App settings and user preferences.

You have full control over this local data: you can view, edit, or delete it at any time within the App. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all locally stored data from your device.

2.2 In-App Purchase Information

The App uses Apple's official StoreKit framework for in-app purchases (IAP), including subscriptions and lifetime purchases.

• We do not collect or store any of your payment information (credit card details, billing address, Apple ID credentials). All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple, and is subject to Apple's own Privacy Policy: apple.com/legal/privacy
• We only receive non-identifiable transaction data from Apple to verify your purchase status, unlock Pro features, and restore your purchases if you reinstall the App or switch devices. This data is not linked to your personal identity.

2.3 AI Wallpaper Generation Data

The App's AI wallpaper generation feature uses the OpenAI DALL·E 3 API.

• When you use this feature: the text prompt you enter and the pet photo you upload are sent directly to OpenAI solely to generate your custom wallpaper.
• We do not store, retain, or share your prompts or uploaded photos after the generation request is completed. We do not use your inputs to train AI models or for any other purpose.

2.4 Device Permissions We Request

We only request system permissions when you actively use the corresponding feature, with a clear, disclosed purpose:

• Photo Library Access: Requested only when you upload a pet profile photo or save a generated wallpaper to your device. You can deny this permission, though it will limit the photo upload and wallpaper save functionality.
• Calendar & Notification Access: Requested only when you set up milestone reminders for your pet. We use this solely to sync reminders to your system calendar and send push notifications for important dates. You can deny or disable this permission at any time in your device settings.

We never request access to your location, microphone, contacts, or other unrelated device data.

3. Third-Party Services

The App only uses the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies governing their handling of data:

2. OpenAI DALL·E 3 API: openai.com/privacy

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs in the App. We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.

4. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you have the following rights under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR for EU users and CCPA for California users):

• Right to Access: You can access all data stored locally on your device directly within the App.
• Right to Deletion: You can delete any or all of your local data at any time by deleting pet profiles or uninstalling the App.
• Right to Correct: You can edit your pet profile and app settings directly within the App.
• Right to Opt Out: We do not sell your personal information to third parties, ever. You can opt out of all non-essential data processing by disabling permissions in your device settings.
• Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw any consent you have provided to this policy by uninstalling the App.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (16 for EU users). We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have received personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our functionality or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy, and by posting a notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
